ABOUT THE IELTS TEST
What is the IELTS test?
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is the world’s most popular English language proficiency test for higher education and global migration.
Why are there two versions of the test?
There are two types of IELTS test: Academic and General Training. They differ in the Reading and Writing sections. The Academic version is for those applying for university or professional registration. The General Training version for those migrating to English-speaking countries or participating in vocational programs.
Which organizations accept IELTS?
IELTS is accepted by more than 10,000 organizations worldwide, including universities, government agencies, professional organizations and companies.

How to register for the test?

How much does the test cost?
The test costs 915 zł, regardless of the form (paper or computer-based, Academic or General Training).
How can I pay?
Possible payment methods: in person at the office, by Przelewy24, by bank transfer.
Do I need to attach a document?
Yes. What is required is a scan or photo of a valid ID document that matches the one you bring to the exam.
When will I receive the schedule?
You will receive details of the session, including the schedule and location of the exam, by email 3 days before the test.
What if I need special facilities?
You can report the need for special facilities well in advance. This includes extended time, Braille printing, or use of assistive equipment.
ON TEST DAY
When to arrive?
Come at least 45 minutes before the start of the test.
Identity verification
It will be held on the basis of the submitted document, photo and finger scanner.
What to bring?
An important document, a transparent bottle of water, pencils and erasers.
What not to bring?
Phones, electronics, food, bags, watches and other personal items.
Is it possible to take notes?
Yes, on the listening and reading question sheets.
Will the accent affect the outcome?
Don’t. The test accepts all accents.
AFTER THE TEST
When will I receive the results?
Computer version: 1-5 days after the session. Paper version: 14 days.
Where can I check the results?
On the IDP IELTS website. The preview is temporary and available for 28 days.
How long are the results valid?
The result is usually valid for 2 years.
RESIGNATION AND CHANGES
What happens if I have to reschedule or cancel my registration?
You can ask for:
- Up to 5 weeks before the session: free transfer of the exam session to a later date.
- Up to 5 working days before: reschedule with a fee of 25% of the test price, with a valid reason and documentation.
- Cancellation: 75% refund of the exam fee, if the cancellation is due to important reasons (illness, accident, death in the family, appointment to military service).

What if I am absent due to illness?
If you are unable to participate in the test due to a serious health condition, submit an original medical certificate (in Polish or English) within 5 business days of the written test date. You can then get a refund or transfer of the test, with a 25% administrative fee deducted.
What if I lost the TRF?
A copy of the TRF cannot be obtained. However, you can have the result sent to the institution for 2 years from the date of the test.
How do I file for a refund?
Fill out the Return Form and email it to ielts@lang.com.pl. Attach the required documents (e.g., medical certificate).
